Helping them get help for harmful behaviors.
Changing abusive behavior is a long and challenging process. It cannot be done alone but it is never a survivor’s responsibility to guide people who have abused through their recovery from abusive behaviors.
Change will never happen unless your partner admits their behavior is wrong and accepts responsibility for their actions and attitudes.
love is respect advocates are available 24/7 to discuss your situation and find help for your partner(s). Remember that it’s not your job to fix their behavior and ultimately it’s impossible to do so — only they can take responsibility to end their own abusive behavior.
